Starting at Low Green we walked the country path, passing a neglected barn, apple blossom and far reaching farm fields. Curious horses trotted over to say hello as we passed on our way to the wilds of the Suffolk countryside. Farm fields aplenty, some, but not all, planted with yellow flowering rapeseed. On the verges tiny cranesbill and an unknown plant.
Heading back we see the blossom of Ash trees, a stark tree surviving against the odds, more yellow rapeseed and the long path between the paddocks where horses dwell. Ahead a church nestles in the trees. This pretty church is Grade II listed and marked by the shadows of trees. It's gate opens in welcome and a well tended flower beds adds to the welcome. Gravestones of Farmer John, or is it Farmer Jack, and his wife Cherry. Included in case there are any genealogists researching Roe, or maybe researching James Scudamore Oakes, born in Kenya.
